Silly costumes contest.What is it?
The purpose of the event is to have fun and win prizes by making the best possible custome, whether that be a funny, cute or tough looking custome. It's all up to your own creativity.
You can do and wear anything. Rare sets, CC sets, old sets, NPC gear or a mix of anything of this. And if you feel that sitting on a broom or having a dogi out complements your attire, feel free to do so.
How does it work?
Every time the contest takes place, 5 random people will be chosen to judge the contestants. Prefably just 5 random low-level people who just happened to be in Alpen at that time.
Anyone can enter in the contest, however only twenty contestants are allowed to enter the contest each time, and this will be done on a first come, first serve basis, for now. It will take far too much time if we do more contestants at once.
All of the contestants should NOT be wearing their outfit before getting judged. One by one, the contestants will enter the dancing stage in Alpen and put on their outfit, after which all 5 judges will rate you on a scale of 1 to 10.
After all 20 contestants have been rated, I will announce the 1st to 3rd prize winners and give them their prizes. (I will pay for these prizes myself, so they will be reasonable, but not very big)
When will this event take place?
This sunday will be the first time and it will start at noon, server time. After that, it will take place every weekend. I will try to use different days and different times over the weekends, but since this is a convenient time for me (GMT +1) this will be the first time and date. I'll make sure that I will get other clan members to host this thing in my place on other occasions so the event can also be held in the evening hours for US people.
Where will the event take place?
The event will always take place in Alpen, on the dancing stage and the area around it. It will be held on channel 2-4, depending on which channel is less crowded at that time. I will use all channel chat to make this clear at the time an event takes place.
Rules:
It is really important to not arrive in your outfit, so that the judges will have a fresh look for each and every single contestant.
Winners of a previous round will be banned from participating in the next 2 rounds, to give more people a chance to enter.
Use of other character skills, use of the SG is all permitted (if you think you look better when covered in ice). However, only one person is allowed on the stage at one time, so it's not possible to use another character as a sidekick in your contest.
Remember, if you have issues about the fairness of this or whatever, remember that it is a player event. If you can make a better event, please go ahead and do so. For now, I'm paying for the prizes myself and putting my own free time in it to organize this. Thank you for not flaming.
